This is a contracted, professional position responsible for developing relationships with manufacturers who could benefit from Manufacturing Works workforce programs. This includes regular communication with the workforce team, sales through customer service, and member/networking events.

It is a highly interactive position where the individual must be able to work with staff, manufacturers (members and non-members of Manufacturing Works), and organizational partners. The individual in this position must possess strong sales, marketing, organizational, communication, presentation and relationship building skills.


  • Develop and implement a sales strategy for recruiting more companies to workforce program involvement
  • Educate companies on Manufacturing Works workforce programs
  • Develop and facilitate company workforce analysis to determine best solutions to workforce needs
  • Increase the number of companies utilizing Manufacturing Works workforce programs (youth work-based learning, apprenticeships, recruitment/screening services)
  • Attend bi-weekly workforce team meetings
  • Attend internal networking events, as needed
  • Other duties as needed and approved through a contract addendum



  • Seven to ten years progressive experience in sales, association or member management
  • Demonstrated success in developing sales campaigns based on target prospect lists and working with a team to generate new sales and revenue
  • Deep understanding of workforce development programs and initiatives in Northeast Ohio
  • Manufacturing experience is desirable


  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred

This is a contracted position for up to 20 hours per week; occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary. Must have reliable transportation, possess a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel to and within Cuyahoga, Lake, Ashtabula, and Geauga counties. Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing setting. Must provide own technology and be proficient in MSOffice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).


Manufacturing Works will provide an hourly wage of $33.50 for up to 20 hours per week and reimburse mileage for related travel.
